Canadian Coin Grading

Victoria 5 Cent Coins
(1858-1901)

This page describes the criteria used to assign grades to 5 cent Canadian circulation coins which use the "Laureate" portrait of Queen Victoria, issued between 1858 and 1901. It also shows sample images of each grade.

All photos used here were taken of coins that have been professionally graded by companies like PCGS, NGC, ICCS, CCCS, ANACS, or ICG.
